WHAT IS FAR – INFRARED HEAT THERAPY?
Surround your body with soothing far infrared heat that penetrates deeply into the joints, muscles and tissues speeding oxygen flow and increasing circulation. Infrared is part of the sun’s invisible spectrum of light that has the ability to penetrate the human tissue. Infrared heat therapy heats the body directly to a depth of over 1 1/2 inches right into the muscle. This type of sauna increases the body’s core temperature resulting in a deeper, more detoxifying sweat from the cellular level of the skin where toxins are located. The body will absorb close to 93% of the infrared waves that reach the skin.

A 30 minute infrared sauna session can burn up to 600 calories! - Because our sauna is shared by others, we require that all sauna guests wear bottoms of some sort during their session. Swimsuits, gym clothes, boxers, undergarments, etc., are acceptable forms of sauna clothing.
- Drink at least 12 oz. of water prior to your session.
- If at any point, you feel uncomfortable, end the session immediately and exit the sauna.
- Do not adjust temperature or time. The Spa Specialist will make any needed adjustments prior to your session.
- Feel free to use the radio located in the sauna. Please consider other guests when adjusting the volume.
- The on/off switch for the sauna lights are located on the control panel. Guests are welcome to adjust the lighting at any time during their session.
- We ask that all guests under the age of 18 use the sauna only under the direct supervision of an adult.
